Daily Routines

My life is a mixed and matched mess of self-control, drivenness, routine, apathy, and spontaneity.

There are a few weird quirks...I like office supply stores. There is something about paper and notebooks that have not been written in with pens that have not yet been used.

I like to see pictures of other people's offices. I especially like the ones that have wooden desks and are stacked with books. Check out this post on a really cool office in a SHED!

I also like to see how people arrange their daily routines. There is something about the consistency provided in the routines that I find simultaneously appealing and restricting. I like routine...for a time. A few weeks ago I stumbled across this blog detailing the working routines of artists, writers, and other interesting people.

What are some of your daily routines?

  1. If you go to hgtv channel there are tons of pics on there too...

I'm such a creature of habit you'd be bored with my schedule. What there is of it.

Usually wake up, have the same breakfast every morning (bagel w/cream cheese, yogurt, fruit, coffee). Read emails and delete. Read blogs. (usually have music going by this time).

Shower, dress, take dogs out. Back to office. Reading for the day (sometimes 3-4 hours). Prayer, etc... Then housework/errands. Any meetings are scheduled for this time usually.

Come home, dinner, finish cleaning. Back to reading. Practice guitar. Bed.

    I'm exciting yes? LOL

  2. I can honestly say that my life feels a bit chaotic these days partly because I have no set routines. I haven't had any set routine in a little while actually (except on days like Thursdays...even then...).

I can't say if it's good or bad... It just depends on how I look at things, I suppose. I guess it makes me more flexible and available.
