Quick Thought on Preaching

I think good speaking begins with good writing and good writing begins with lots and lots of reading.

Always read broadly. Read what you like to read, but read broadly.

  1. Yes sir! ;)

Seriously, people look at me odd when I read things like "Emotional intelligence"... I remember Scott saying he read "He's just not into you"... I mean he has teenage daughters... why not? Who says we have to stick with apologetics and Christian authors?

  2. I read anything and everything I can get my hands on. I have just finished two novels: The DaVinci Code (I know it more than two years old) and The Kite Runner. I have more books than I could ever read, but I keep getting and borrowing more.

  3. Well you can peruse my library any time... Got a great one for you... Holiness, Truth and the Presence of God by Francis Frangipagne... short but well written and thoughful. One of those "selah" types... ;)

Oh I noticed Randy is avoiding the spandex... I guess I need to find that mask... ;) HA!
